Rosalind Franklin is the person that I admire. She was born the 25th of July 1920 in Notting Hill, London; and she died the 16th of April in 1958. She was an English Chemist who made very important contributions to the discovery of the DNA structure. She studied the Natural Sciences Tripos at Newnham College and she graduated in 1941. She is best known for her work on the X-ray diffraction images of  DNA, particularly photo 21 which led to the discovery of the actual double helix DNA structure (Made by Watson and Crick those who won a Nobel prize).

Photo 21.
She also worked in the understanding of structures of RNA, viruses, coal and graphite. Although her works in viruses and coal were appreciated in her lifetime, the DNA contribution was not.

I like her because I think that she was a very strong woman and an excellent scientist, without this picture that she got Watson and Crick would'not have created their model and all the things that we already know about DNA, replication, genes etc and the things that we (Humans) Have created with this information GMO, Therapy for sickness... they would not have existed, or They would have been discovered later in time.

So, that's why I admire her, She was so careful, meticulous and intelligent and that made her get good results in her investigations.
